The xxx Printer is installed by default on all xxx workstations with a Windows operating system. Follow this instruction if you want to install the printer for Linux.
Important: In order to install the printer software, your computer must be connected to the UG network.
- Download the Linux printer software here and save locally.
- Open the New Printer dialog.

b) Go to Server → New → Printer.

- On the right, enter the connection settings:
Host: RUG-ID@CANRUGRPS03.ps15.mycanonprint.nl
For a single user system: Replace the generic RUGnetID by your personal RUGnetID. When you send a print job only you can pick up your prints at a printer.
For a multi user system: Log in with your personal RUGnetID. The administrator should leave out the RUGnetID@ part of the host name. When you send a print job the print system will then use your username (through environment variable CUPS_USER or USER) to make sure that only you can pick up your prints at a printer.
